Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our company’s accounting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the monthly accounting cycle, general ledger, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), tax submissions, and year-end filing/reporting. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will supervise a team of two accounting staff and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to support the CFO in strategic planning and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly Accounting & General Ledger:
- Manage the monthly accounting close process, including reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger, maintaining proper documentation and support for all transactions.
- Accounts Receivable (AR) & Accounts Payable (AP):
- Oversee the AR and AP processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, payments, and resolution of discrepancies.
- Monitor cash flow and manage working capital to optimize the company’s financial position.
- Tax Compliance & Reporting:
- Prepare and submit all required tax returns, including VAT, corporate income tax, and other statutory filings, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end tax filings and support any external audits as needed.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor 2 accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the accurate and efficient completion of their tasks.
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment within the accounting team.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly and annual financial reports for the CFO, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.
- Assist the CFO in developing and refining financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes to support strategic decision-making.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the CFO and other departments to implement best practices and enhance overall financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in any accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a commitment to fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
